Why do I need an Agent? |
| A. |
Initially the Talent Agent is employed by you (on a commission basis) to find work on your behalf. They then negotiate rates of pay and ensure that the terms and conditions of your employment contract are sound.
Your agent sends your details to the Casting company, or producer if you meet the character brief. The brief may consist of physical specifications (age, nationality, gender, hair colour etc) as well as experience if the role requires the actor to say lines.

| Q. |
How do I find an agent? |
| A. |
There are plenty of agents listed in the yellow pages directory under "Talent Agents" however it is important to find the right agent for your skill level. Most agencies specialize (models, extras, theatre etc) so you need to ensure you are heading in the right direction. No point paying for photographs with a model agency if you would like to do extra work. Check out the Tutorial section (in the members area) for 3 pages of info about how to find the right agent.
